Description
This is my 2nd attempt at Manip, my entry for the 'Cottingley Fairies' contest at the wonderful #Manip-Contest in the beginner category.
[link]
I sorta overdid the 'trying to make the photo look old' I think, and there are several things as a newbie, you look at and think 'should I change that?", but I thought the more I messed with it, the worse it may become.
And now its loaded up it looks even darker!! Oh well!
I quite like it, but LOVED doing it! I will become good at this stuff!!

Ok.... I am going to try to write my first ever critique here <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/f…" width="33" height="15" alt="" title="I've got my fingers crossed."/>
Firstly, I love your choice of stock - it all goes together very well.
You have done very well with the ageing effect in general - the big point here is, if you take a look at old photos, they do not blur with age. Admittedly photos taken back then would be nowhere near as sharp as those taken using today's cameras, but I think there is a little too much blurring - not sure if it is possible/easy to reduce the blurring at this stage.
Over all, a very, very good manip for being so new to it.
I am sure I have missed some points, but I am not an expert manipulator myself - so I am only really critiquing the points I can see - hope you find this helpful <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/d/d…" width="29" height="21" alt="" title="Dance!"/>
